American R&B singer R. Kelly is urgently requesting a prison release, citing credible death threats linked to an alleged murder-for-hire plot inside a North Carolina federal prison. According to newly filed court documents, Kelly’s legal team claims his life is at risk due to a scheme involving prison officials and Aryan Brotherhood gang members.
The shocking revelation comes from Mikeal Glenn Stine, a terminally ill inmate and gang leader, who alleges that prison authorities offered him early release in exchange for killing Kelly. Stine says he chose instead to warn Kelly and expose the plan, now placing both men in further danger.
R. Kelly’s lawyers are also appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court, proposing home confinement as a safer alternative to prison, citing the singer’s ongoing fear for his life and desire to continue his music career.
This breaking development adds a new twist to Kelly’s already controversial case and raises serious concerns about prison safety and corruption.
