Odumodublvck Slams Music Executives Over Late Advances and Artist Mistreatment

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, known for his hit Declan Rice, has publicly criticized music executives for what he describes as exploitative and disrespectful treatment of artists. In a passionate rant on X (formerly Twitter), he condemned the delayed disbursement of financial advances, stressing that they often arrive too late in the album-making process.

“An advance is meant to be given months before an album, not after,” he wrote, emphasizing the need for better industry practices.

Odumodublvck didn’t hold back, warning label heads to treat their artists fairly or face divine consequences. He defended his stance as righteous and uncompromising, stating that artists are already doing what many executives cannot.

His outburst also included veiled threats toward those who allegedly remade beats from his camp without proper credit or authorization.

This bold statement adds fuel to the growing conversation around artist rights, fair contracts, and accountability in the Nigerian music industry.
