Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has responded firmly to controversial singer Portable, who publicly accused her of inviting him to perform at an event without being able to pay his fee. Portable alleged that after he declined, Laide insulted him and labeled him “the dirty boy from Sango-Ota.”
In a fiery response via video, Laide warned Portable to stop mentioning her name and emphasized that she would not tolerate any form of disrespect. “Move on,” she advised bluntly.
The drama follows Portable’s recent performance at a hotel launch in Abeokuta, where he claimed his car was vandalized by a member of the crowd. According to him, the rear side glass and backlight were smashed, though thankfully, no one was injured.
Portable praised the swift response of the police, who apprehended the suspect. He urged authorities not to release the culprit, stressing the need for accountability in public events.
The incident has since sparked online conversations about celebrity disputes, event organization, and artist safety at shows.
