Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Aisha Lawal has publicly denied claims that she received a Toyota Venza from Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The viral allegation, which sparked widespread discussion online, originated from a video by NURTW chieftain Baba Bistijabah. The video accused MC Oluomo of collecting a blue Toyota Venza and gifting it to Aisha Lawal. However, the actress has firmly dismissed these claims as false, defamatory, and damaging to her reputation.
Aisha Lawal Clarifies Her Position on the Toyota Venza Rumor
The actress emphasized that she has never received a car gift from MC Oluomo or anyone else. She also dismissed the idea that a Toyota Venza suits her style, stating:
“I didn’t collect any car from him. I have regard for MC Oluomo because he has done so much for people I know. But I did not collect any car. Common, add some respect to my name because I suffered before I made money. I don’t even like Venza. I drive a GX 460.”
Aisha Lawal revealed that she only saw the controversial video after hearing her name mentioned during a disturbing prayer claiming ownership of the car. She expressed frustration over the rapid spread of misinformation without proper fact-checking:
“I didn’t watch that video until I heard the prayer where he said, ‘Aisha Lawal, I’m the owner of that blue Venza with you. I cannot study Law for seven years and not go all the way to court. He should get a good lawyer.”
In light of these false allegations, Aisha Lawal has vowed to take legal action against those attempting to tarnish her name. She called on the public to respect her integrity and the hard work she has put into her career.
