Halle Bailey, American singer, actress, and star of The Little Mermaid, has accused her ex-boyfriend DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry) of physical and verbal abuse. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Halle alleges multiple incidents of domestic violence during their relationship and ongoing custody battles over their five-month-old son, Halo Saint Granberry.
A Los Angeles County judge has issued a temporary restraining order, requiring DDG to remain at least 100 yards away from both Halle and Halo, including at the child’s school and around Halle’s vehicle. The order also prohibits DDG from making any public or online statements about Halle or their son.
Halle submitted photos as evidence, including a chipped tooth and bruised bicep, allegedly caused by DDG slamming her face into a steering wheel. She further claims he pulled her hair, damaged property, and verbally abused her in front of their son, calling her demeaning names and spreading false narratives to his large online audience.
The actress says she filed a police report in March after DDG allegedly came to her home uninvited, trying to take their son despite them being ill with RSV.
While DDG has not released an official statement, his mother responded on Instagram, suggesting she’s been silent too long amid the accusations.
Bailey and DDG began dating in 2022 and split in early 2024.
