Winners Emerge at the 17th Headies Awards

The 17th Headies Awards returned to Nigeria on April 27, 2025, at Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, celebrating top talents in music.

Zerry DL won Rookie of the Year, Tribe Called Judah soundtrack took Soundtrack of the Year, and Tems bagged Best Recording. Lojay and Liya won Best Male and Female Vocal respectively. Qing Madi earned Songwriter of the Year, while London won Producer of the Year for Ozeba.

Rema HEIS took home Afrobeats Album of the Year, Director Pink won Best Music Video for Egwu by Mohbad and Chike, which also claimed Viewers’ Choice. Flavour snagged Afrobeats Single of the Year.

Odumodublvck beat Shallipopi, Qing Madi, Nasboi, and Ayo Maff to win Next Rated. Davido won Best Digital Artiste, and Juma Jux claimed Best East African Artiste.

Special awards went to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Alex Okosi, and Amaju Pinnick for their contributions.

The 18th Headies will hold in December 2025 to make up for 2024’s missed edition.
