Nigerian artist Timaya has once again postponed the release of his highly anticipated ninth studio album, Gladiator.
Initially slated for June 21, the album’s release was first pushed to July 12, and now Timaya has announced a new release date of August 15, 2024, via his Instagram account.
The Afrobeat star shared the update with his followers, stating: “#Gladiator Album number 9, 18 years since True Story, and I’m not stopping! Aug 15th! Get ready!”
Despite the delays, fans remain excited for the album, which is expected to be a powerful collection of tracks. Gladiator will include hit singles such as “Cold Outside,” featuring BNXN, and his recent collaboration with Tiwa Savage, “In My Head.” While the reasons for the delay have not been disclosed, Timaya assures fans that the wait will be worth it, building anticipation for the album’s release on August 15.
