Disney fans were thrilled earlier this year when the studio announced a sequel to the beloved 2016 film Moana. The new movie, titled Moana 2, is set to release on November 27.
With November just a few months away, Disney has unveiled the first trailer for Moana 2 during last night’s D23 event. Stars Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson introduced the trailer, generating excitement among the audience.
Dwayne teased, “Wait till you see the villains we have,” and the trailer hints at the introduction of Moana’s younger sister, Simea, voiced by Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda. Auli’i also performed a new song from the film titled “We’re Back.”

Synopsis of Moana 2
For those who may have missed it, here’s the synopsis of Moana 2: “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
With so much excitement building, fans can hardly wait for November to arrive!
