Quavo recently celebrated the launch of his new cognac brand, White X, by hosting a private dinner to honor women in sports media.
The event took place during the ESPY weekend in Los Angeles and featured notable attendees such as WNBA host Jordan Robinson, E! News and TBS host Nina Parker, FOXLA’s Mimi Brown, and sports influencer Brittney Elena. The evening focused on excellence and recognition.
Quavo’s Vision for White X Cognac
“Since I’m new to the table, I wanted to bring my own flair,” Quavo shared with BET regarding his White X Cognac. “We aimed to make it accessible, and it was important for me to establish a presence in Atlanta first to create some buzz for my city.”
He added, “They’re coming with a fresh, new look. They needed someone who sets trends. It’s a smoother drink that still encourages clear thinking, so here we are.”
Teasing New Music Projects
On the music front, Quavo has been teasing a sequel to his collaborative album with Travis Scott. Last month, he shared a snippet of a new track featuring Scott while out on a boat in Miami, hinting at the upcoming project with the label “HJ2,” presumably referring to “Huncho Jack 2.”
Earlier this year, Quavo also previewed a song at Travis Scott’s Super Bowl party in Las Vegas, although he did not provide details on its release date. When a clip of the performance was shared by the Instagram blog Our Generation Music, Quavo responded in the comments with side-eye and rocket emojis, further fueling fan excitement.
Quavo had previously hinted at new music on Instagram, responding to a thread celebrating Travis Scott’s achievements with, “That’s tough, next one loading….. battery up.” Fans expressed their eagerness for the upcoming projects, with comments highlighting Quavo’s current prime and a desire to see collaborations with other artists.
In late 2017, Quavo and Scott released the album “Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho,” which debuted at No. 3 on the charts, surpassing Eminem’s “Revival.” The project was well-received, generating a total of 89,775 album-equivalent units, including significant streaming numbers and contributions from various artists.
