Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, one half of the renowned music duo P-Square, has publicly criticized his twin brother Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, in a pointed open letter.
The letter, shared on Peter’s Instagram account on Monday, August 12, 2024, accuses Paul of ongoing disrespect, sabotage, and attempts to turn fans against him.
Peter’s letter responds to Paul’s recent interviews in which he claimed to have written and performed 99% of P-Square‘s songs, undermining Peter’s contributions to the group. Peter expressed his frustration with Paul’s failure to acknowledge his own songwriting credits and the success they achieved together.
In his message, Peter conveyed disappointment over Paul’s behavior, highlighting that while he refers to their partnership using “we” and “us,” Paul tends to use “I” and “me.” He accused Paul of trying to marginalize him and questioned whether their individual solo careers have matched the success of P-Square.
This open letter comes amid a long-standing feud between the brothers, which began after their highly publicized split in 2017. Peter also hinted at addressing recent issues involving their former manager and older brother, Jude, promising to share his perspective later that day.
The letter has ignited a heated discussion among fans and industry insiders, with many weighing in on the brothers’ tumultuous relationship and the future of P-Square.
