Harry Kane has set his sights on winning trophies with Bayern Munich following his recognition as the top scorer in Europe for the 2023-24 season.
The England captain netted an impressive 44 goals across all competitions, including 36 in the Bundesliga, but unfortunately, he did not secure any silverware in his debut season in Germany.
At a ceremony in Munich celebrating his achievement, Kane emphasized the importance of team success, stating, “I want to continue the momentum I built last season, but ultimately, winning trophies is what matters most. I feel great and am excited for the new season ahead.”
Kane is now the third player from Bayern to receive the Golden Shoe, joining the ranks of legends Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski. Bayern’s CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, praised Kane for his smooth integration into the club’s legacy of great strikers, noting that his arrival has enhanced the appeal of the Bundesliga.
Reflecting on his career, Kane expressed his long-held dream of competing at the highest level and the honor of being mentioned alongside Bayern greats like Franz Beckenbauer and Müller. He acknowledged the collective effort in achieving his individual success, stating, “This award belongs to everyone at the club. I wouldn’t be here without my family, who have always supported me.”
