Alexis Sanchez has officially rejoined Udinese, signing a two-year contract 13 years after his initial departure from the club.
The 35-year-old forward left Inter Milan following the expiration of his contract.
Sanchez began his career at Udinese in 2006 after transferring from Chilean club Cobreloa, but he returned to Chile on loan the following season. He then spent time on loan at Argentine club River Plate before establishing himself in Europe, where he made 112 appearances for Udinese from 2008 to 2011.

After stints with Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Inter Milan, Sanchez has returned to Udinese, where he hopes to continue his successful career. Throughout his time in Europe, he has achieved significant success, winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup, two FA Cups, two Serie A titles, and the Coppa Italia. He also played a crucial role in Chile’s historic back-to-back Copa America victories in 2015 and 2016.
Sanchez has scored over 200 club goals and netted 51 times in 166 appearances for the Chilean national team. After a standout period at Udinese, he made a high-profile move to Barcelona in 2011.
He later transferred to Arsenal in 2014 for around £35 million, where he enjoyed some of the best moments of his career, scoring 80 goals and providing 43 assists in 166 matches under manager Arsène Wenger. During his time with the Gunners, he won two FA Cups, scoring in both finals at Wembley Stadium.
In 2018, Sanchez made a controversial switch to Manchester United, which did not go as planned. He struggled to replicate his previous form, scoring just five goals in 45 appearances. He returned to Italy in 2019 on loan to Inter, where he eventually secured a permanent deal and contributed to the club’s Serie A title win.
After making 109 appearances for Inter, Sanchez spent a year at Marseille, where he excelled, scoring 18 goals in 44 matches. He then returned to Inter on a free transfer, helping the team secure another domestic title. Now back at Udinese, Sanchez aims to make a significant impact in his second spell at the club.
