Actress Vanessa Hudgens has given birth to her first child with husband Cole Tucker, a source has confirmed to E! News.
Hudgens, known for her role in the “High School Musical” franchise, previously announced her pregnancy on the 2024 Oscars red carpet. Clad in a black turtleneck gown by Vera Wang, the 35-year-old happily cradled her growing baby bump in front of photographers before hosting ABC’s “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!”
Later that evening, Hudgens bared her baby belly again at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, walking the carpet in a black see-through Alberta Ferretti dress. Sharing photos from the night, she wrote on Instagram, “One for the books.”
Hudgens and Tucker’s love story is equally noteworthy. The couple first met on a meditation group call headed by Jay Shetty during the COVID-19 pandemic. After their first weekend together, Hudgens recalled telling her sister, “I think I just found my future husband.” The pair went Instagram official on Valentine’s Day 2021, with Tucker publicly declaring his love for Hudgens shortly after.
Two years later, the couple got engaged during a romantic trip to Paris, a city Hudgens had hinted was the “ideal place” for a proposal. Their wedding, attended by some of Hudgens’ former “High School Musical” co-stars, was described by the actress as the “most emotional moment” of her life.
With the arrival of their first child, Hudgens and Tucker have reached another milestone in their whirlwind romance. The couple’s little one is sure to be no stranger to the Hollywood spotlight, having made its debut on the Oscars red carpet.
