Usher is set to bring his concert experience to the big screen with his upcoming film, “USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS.”
The movie will feature live performances of some of the superstar’s biggest hits, filmed during his eight-concert run in Paris in 2023. The film will also include never-before-seen costumes and behind-the-scenes footage.
“Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans,” Usher said in a statement. “I hope those who weren’t able to make it in person get to experience how special it was. As for those of you who were, I hope you experience the show and see what it takes to get there through a different lens.”
The concert film will be released in theaters for a three-day run starting on September 12, with tickets available beginning August 6.
In a separate interview, rapper Mach-Hommy shared a “surreal” encounter he had with Usher while meeting JAY-Z for the first time. Mach-Hommy described how Usher, wearing a Haitian flag shirt, greeted him loudly in Haitian Creole, drawing attention from fans who wanted to take pictures with him.
After the fans were ushered away, Usher interrogated Mach-Hommy about his creative process and gave him advice about staying away from certain people and things in the city, which Mach-Hommy found surprising and appreciated.
