Sony has released a new PlayStation 5 system software update that makes it easier for players to join multiplayer games. The update allows users to create shareable links that invite others to join their game, even if they aren’t friends on the PlayStation Network. These links can be shared via a QR code or a URL, making it more convenient for players to connect with each other.
One of the notable features of this update is that the invite links are not time-sensitive. Recipients can use the link to join the game up to 30 minutes after it was sent, as long as the host is still playing. This is particularly useful if the host needs to step away for a short period or if the recipient is unable to join immediately.
Additionally, the update introduces a new Voice Command feature called “Game Help.” By saying “Show Game Help,” players can open action cards that provide helpful information related to the game they are playing. However, this feature is currently available only in English for gamers in the US and UK with PlayStation Network accounts.
To ensure the new multiplayer join feature works seamlessly, Sony recommends that players update their games. The update aims to enhance the overall multiplayer experience on the PlayStation 5 by making it more accessible and convenient for players to connect with each other.
