Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour to Host Star-Studded Olympic Games Kick Off Party in Paris

Pharrell Williams has announced plans to welcome some of the world’s biggest stars to Paris for the upcoming Olympic Games with a blowout co-hosted by Anna Wintour. The star-studded event is set to take place on July 25, the night before the Opening Ceremony, at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.

A Night of Celebrities and Celebration

The pre-Olympic bash is expected to draw the likes of Charlize Theron, Serena Williams, Spanish singer Rosalia, and French actor Omar Sy, whose popularity skyrocketed thanks to the success of his Netflix series Lupin. Pharrell and the renowned Vogue magazine editor-in-chief will share hosting duties with LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault and Comcast NBC Universal Chairman Brian Roberts.

“It’s an honor for me to co-host this very special event with Anna, Mr Arnault, and Brian the night before the momentous Opening Ceremony,” the Grammy Award-winning producer said in a statement. “The Olympics are a celebration of diversity, humanity, and creativity – all of which bring us closer together as one human race.”

Olympic-Inspired Activities and More

Beyond a typical party, the event will also give attendees a shot at participating in Olympic-inspired games including archery, basketball, and table tennis. As Louis Vuitton’s men’s creative director, Pharrell’s recent work has fully embraced the Olympic spirit, with his menswear show at Paris Fashion Week last month incorporating a global theme, drawing from international cultural elements.

Pharrell’s recent pushes in the world of luxury also include the new Tiffany Titan collection, his first jewelry collection which he unveiled with Tiffany & Co. in June. The line includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings made with diamonds in 18-karat yellow gold or titanium.

Despite his ventures into fashion and luxury, Pharrell remains committed to producing music. He is currently working on a new Clipse project, produced entirely by the longtime collaborator, which will be the siblings’ first album since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.

Setting the Stage for the Olympics

The Olympic Games Kick Off Party promises to be a star-studded celebration of diversity, creativity, and unity, aligning with the spirit of the Olympics. As the world gathers in Paris for the Summer Games, Pharrell and his co-hosts aim to set the tone for an unforgettable event that brings people together through the power of sport and entertainment.
