Chelsea and Liverpool are among the top clubs vying for the signature of Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi, according to reports from Sky Sports Germany. The 22-year-old German international has also attracted interest from Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan.
Chelsea, under new manager Enzo Maresca, have been one of the most active Premier League clubs in the transfer market, signing young talents like Estevao Willian, Marc Guiu and Omari Kellyman. The Blues, who finished sixth last season, are hoping Adeyemi’s pace and skill can help propel them back into the Champions League spots.
Adeyemi, described as “electric” by football analyst Ben Mattinson, has been inconsistent for Dortmund, leading the club to consider offers for the sought-after forward. In the 2023/24 season, he made 34 appearances across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists.
Despite the growing interest, no concrete offers have been made for Adeyemi yet. Dortmund are reportedly willing to sell for a fee of over €30 million (£25.35m). The player has recently changed agents, and talks are ongoing with several agencies about his representation.
Chelsea have identified Adeyemi as their priority target, with other wingers like Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling often failing to live up to expectations. The Blues will face stiff competition from Liverpool, Juventus and AC Milan for the signature of the young German talent.
