Instagram has introduced a significant update that allows users to add up to 20 audio tracks to their Reels. This feature, spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra, enables users to create more dynamic and engaging videos by syncing different audio tracks with text, stickers, and clips.
Previously, users could only add one track to their Reels. However, with the new update, users can now include multiple tracks, making for a more chaotic and entertaining video experience. To use this feature, users can hit the “add to mix” button in Instagram’s video editor, select the tracks they want to include, and choose the portions of the songs to use and where to place them in their video.
After posting a reel, other users can see all the tracks included in it and will also see a button to “use audio mix” in their own videos. This feature is unique to Instagram, as TikTok users still need to use workarounds or third-party apps to include multiple songs in their videos.
The expanded audio options on Instagram Reels provide users with greater flexibility and creativity in their video content, allowing them to create more complex and engaging audiovisual experiences.
