Endrick, the highly sought-after Brazilian teenager, has finally completed his move to Real Madrid from Palmeiras, 584 days after the initial £51 million deal was agreed. The 18-year-old sensation signed for the European champions back on December 15, 2022, but FIFA rules prevented him from being transferred abroad until he reached the age of 18.

Real Madrid had to wait patiently for Endrick’s arrival, with the total transfer fee believed to be worth £62 million plus an additional £10 million in taxes. The Spanish giants fought off competition from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea to secure the services of the Brazilian wonderkid.
During his time at Palmeiras, Endrick made a significant impact, winning the Brazilian Serie A twice and the Brazilian Super Cup. In his short stint with the senior team, he netted 21 goals in 82 matches across all competitions, while also providing four assists. At just 17 years old, Endrick made his debut for the Brazil national team against Colombia in November, becoming the fourth youngest player ever to represent his country. Endrick’s move to Real Madrid draws comparisons to Vinicius Jr.’s transfer from Flamengo in 2017, when he was also 16 years old. The Spanish club has a history of investing in young Brazilian talents, having also signed Rodrygo from Santos a year later when he was just 17.
