D’Banj Announces Fifth Studio Album “Entertainer – The Sequel”

D’Banj, the veteran Afrobeats singer, has shared details of his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, “Entertainer – The Sequel”. Set for release worldwide on August 9, 2024, by DB Records, this new project marks an exciting chapter in his career.

The album showcases a creative blend of Afrobeats and Afropop, with eleven songs and two bonus tracks. Notably, it includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Grammy award winner Wyclef Jean, Congolese icon Awilo Logomba, Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour, American star Akon, South African DJ Maphorisa, and NBC’s The Voice sensation Chechi Sarai.

Additionally, D’Banj has featured several Nigerian musicians, including Phyno, Timaya, Kayswitch, Zlatan, Peruzzi, Bhadboi Oml, and Chuchu Lee. To demonstrate his commitment to mentoring new talents, he has included Specikinging, an artist from his talent discovery project, Cream Platform.

In an interview, D’Banj expressed his excitement about the new album. He stated, “Life is a maze of self-discovery and my new album, ‘Entertainer – The Sequel’ confirms this truth to me. It’s a true reflection of my growth as an artist and my continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of African music.”

Celebrating 20 Years On-Stage

To celebrate his 20-year on-stage milestone, D’Banj, in partnership with The Temple Company, will embark on a series of intimate live performances and concerts across major cities around the world. Furthermore, he will connect with fans through exclusive meet-and-greet events, mentoring sessions, and engaging thought-leadership interactions.

The album is available for pre-save starting July 23 and will be released on August 9, 2024.
