Apple‘s anticipated AI feature, Apple Intelligence, is unlikely to be ready for the public release of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 in September.
However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, it is expected to debut with iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 in October. The beta versions, which will include some AI functionalities, are reportedly set to be available for developers this week.
Initially, Apple Intelligence will not offer its complete range of features. For instance, the AI-enhanced version of Siri is expected to be introduced later in the year, and some updates may even be postponed until next year. Additionally, not all devices compatible with iOS 18 will support Apple Intelligence; it will require an A17 Pro processor or M-series chip, limiting its availability to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models only.
