Adrien Rabiot has officially departed from Juventus after deciding not to renew his contract with the club. The French midfielder turned down a new offer from the Italian side, which would have provided him with a salary of €7 million (approximately $7.63 million) per season. Instead, Rabiot has chosen to enter the transfer market as a free agent for the upcoming season.
During his five-year tenure at Juventus, Rabiot made 212 appearances, scoring 22 goals and helping the team secure three titles, including one Serie A championship, one Super Cup, and two Coppa Italia trophies. Juventus acknowledged his contributions in a statement on their website and social media, highlighting his achievement of surpassing 200 appearances and becoming the third most capped French player in the club’s history, trailing only behind legends Zinedine Zidane and Michel Platini.
Currently without a club, Rabiot is exploring offers from various European teams, with AC Milan reportedly showing interest. There is also a possibility that he could join a club in the Arab leagues for a lucrative deal.
Despite being signed as a record transfer for Troyes, Rabiot never made a first-team appearance for the French club before moving on to play for Juventus. UEFA regulations prevent transfer activities between clubs owned by the same group competing in the same league, but since Troyes is Rabiot’s parent club and not Girona, Manchester City was free to conduct business.
As Rabiot looks ahead to his next chapter, he leaves Juventus after a successful stint, having established himself as a key player in the squad.
Thank you for everything and good luck for the future, Adrien! 🙏🐎
