Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who controls United’s football policy, held exploratory discussions with Tuchel in Monaco, where the coach outlined his vision for the team. However, after the talks, Tuchel is believed to have viewed Ratcliffe as not inclined to offer him the role and chose to withdraw from consideration.
The evaluation of Erik ten Hag’s tenure at Manchester United, which will determine his future with the club, has entered its third week. The club has yet to establish a deadline for reaching a decision. Other potential candidates to replace Ten Hag include Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi, who are currently unemployed, Brentford manager Thomas Frank, and England’s Gareth Southgate.
