Spanish football club Sevilla has officially announced the acquisition of Chidera Ejuke, a key player from Nigeria’s Super Eagles, on a free transfer from CSKA Moscow.
The club revealed the signing on their website on Monday, June 17, 2024. Ejuke has committed to a three-year contract, ensuring his stay with Sevilla until the summer of 2027.
Last season, Ejuke was on loan at Royal 6, where he delivered an impressive performance, scoring five goals and providing six assists in 39 matches for the Belgian team.
Sevilla’s official statement reads:
“Sevilla FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Nigerian footballer Chidera Ejuke. He joins the Nervionense team as a free agent and has signed a contract that will keep him with us until June 2027. Born on January 2, 1998, in Zaria, Nigeria, Ejuke stands 176 centimetres tall, is right-footed, and primarily plays as a left winger, though he is versatile enough to cover the right side and other attacking positions.”
