Newcastle United’s long-awaited home kit for the 2024/25 season has been revealed, marking Adidas’ return to the club after a 15-year absence. Fans eagerly lined up outside St James’ Park and the online store to be among the first to get their hands on the new shirt, which features one black stripe flanked by two large white ones, along with the iconic Adidas three stripes running down the shoulders and arms.
Drawing inspiration from the classic 2002/03 Adidas home kit, the new design pays homage to the club’s history while incorporating modern elements. The black and white colors synonymous with Newcastle United are preserved, evoking nostalgia for the past and excitement for the future. The kit is completed with solid black shorts and socks featuring the NUFC sign-off in white.
Adidas has built anticipation for the launch through clever marketing, including a video narrated by Alan Shearer showcasing the new designs and featuring current stars like Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes, as well as club legends like Gary Speed. Shearer’s narration eloquently captures the essence of what the kit means to the fans, describing it as more than just fabric and color, but a symbol of identity, history, and belonging.
