Naomi Campbell is breaking her silence on her journey with surrogacy. The iconic supermodel, aged 54, has revealed in an interview published in The Times on June 7 that she opted for surrogacy to welcome her two children.
In the interview, Campbell disclosed that her daughter, now 2, and her son, born in June 2023, were both delivered through surrogacy. Since their arrival, Campbell has been discreet about their identities, birthdates, and appearance.
Expressing her deep maternal devotion, Campbell voiced her concerns for the future. “My babies mean everything to me. It’s made me apprehensive about what lies ahead,” she shared. “I yearn for a better world for my children. They are my utmost priority. I want to be there for their first day of school.”
Campbell also touched upon her contentment as a single mother and expressed her reservations about young women dismissing motherhood due to financial concerns. “I’ve often said, ‘You will change your mind. You’ll want to experience motherhood,’” she remarked. “I understand the economic challenges, but my own mother had very little, yet she managed. It’s worth it. It’s truly incredible.”
While Campbell had been discreet about her children previously, she clarified in a Vogue interview in February 2022 that her daughter is her biological child, not adopted.
In May, Campbell shared the inaugural snapshot of her baby son on Instagram, showcasing a series of tender moments with both her children, shielding their identities while basking in the glow of a sunset.
