Megan Thee Stallion Unveils Release Date and Cover Art for New Album ‘Megan’

Megan Thee Stallion has set the release date for her highly anticipated album “Megan” and shared the captivating cover art with her fans. In a surprising announcement on social media, the Houston rapper revealed that the album will drop on June 28th, inviting fans to pre-save it. The cover art features a striking image of Megan inside a cocoon, hanging upside down with a prominent “M” symbol.

During her Hot Girl Summer Tour stop in Atlanta, Megan treated fans to an exclusive preview of the album announcement and provided a QR code for the sold-out crowd to pre-save the project. This album marks her return since the incident involving Tory Lanez in July 2020. Despite Lanez’s legal battles and claims of innocence, Megan has moved forward, reclaiming her independence.

Under her Hot Girl imprint in partnership with Warner Music Group, Megan will release the album, retaining ownership of her master recordings and maintaining creative control. After parting ways with her previous label, 1501 Certified Ent., Megan is excited to embark on this independent journey, funding everything herself and expressing her artistic vision freely.

Thematically, Megan’s singles from the album, like “Cobra,” “Hiss,” and “BOA,” revolve around a snake motif. In an interview, she explained her fascination with snakes, viewing them as symbols of renewal and spirituality. For Megan, the album represents a rebirth, embracing darker themes and celebrating uniqueness.
