Lazio Names Marco Baroni as New Manager, Succeeding Tudor

Lazio has announced the appointment of Marco Baroni, former coach of Hellas Verona, as their new manager, succeeding Igor Tudor. Baroni, aged 60, will officially assume the role on July 1st, having agreed to a multi-year contract. His appointment follows Tudor’s departure last week, which occurred less than three months after he took over from Maurizio Sarri in March.

Baroni’s arrival comes after his departure from Verona was confirmed by mutual agreement on Monday. Despite the challenges, he successfully guided Verona to survival in the previous season. With prior managerial experience at clubs like Lecce, Frosinone, and Benevento in Serie A, Baroni brings a wealth of expertise to Lazio, who finished seventh in the league last season, securing a spot in the Europa League.
