Ladipoe Clarifies Social Media Controversy Regarding Wizkid

In response to recent allegations circulating on social media, award-winning rapper Ladipoe addressed the controversy surrounding comments that were perceived as shading Wizkid.

During an interview, Ladipoe clarified that his remarks on X (formerly Twitter) were intended as light-hearted banter and not meant to disrespect Wizkid. He explained that his comments were part of a broader discussion about the state of Afrobeats, drawing parallels to previous misconceptions about the demise of hip hop.

Ladipoe emphasized that his remarks were aimed at addressing the ongoing dialogue within the music industry and were not directed at any specific artist. He stressed the importance of recognizing the diversity and resilience of different music genres, highlighting that no genre can be declared “dead” as long as there are artists and listeners actively engaged with the music.

Wizkid responded to Ladipoe’s comments with a subtle jab at Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy, sparking further debate among fans and observers. However, Ladipoe reiterated that his intention was not to target any individual artist but rather to engage in a broader conversation about the evolving landscape of music.

This clarification from Ladipoe aims to provide context and dispel misunderstandings surrounding his initial comments, promoting constructive dialogue within the music community.
