King Promise, the Ghanaian afrobeats sensation, has announced his third studio album, “TRUE TO SELF,” following the success of his chart-topping hits “Terminator,” “Perfect Combi,” and “Paris.” The album features the standout track “Favorite Story,” which incorporates elements of the classic Ghanaian hit “ASO” by Kwabena Kwabena.
King Promise has crafted a unique sound with global appeal, drawing inspiration from Ghanaian Highlife, Afrobeats, and R&B. His journey began in 2017 with his breakout single “Oh Yeah,” and a series of successful releases that established him as one of Ghana’s most promising musical talents. His subsequent album, “5 Star,” expanded his reach even further, featuring collaborations with Omah Lay, Headie One, Chance the Rapper, and WSTRN. Beyond music, King Promise has also leveraged his platform to advocate for social change and support charitable causes throughout Ghana.
Now, King Promise returns with a bang in his latest single, “Favorite Story,” featuring the acclaimed rapper/songwriter Sarkodie and singer Olivetheboy. This track is part of his upcoming album “True To Self,” which promises to delve deeper into his artistic identity.
