Disneyland Resort Employee Dies After Golf Cart Accident

A Disneyland Resort employee has died following a serious accident on Wednesday.

Authorities reported that the Anaheim Police Department and Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to a call just before 11:30 a.m. about a traffic collision that occurred backstage at the Southern California resort.

“Upon arrival, police and fire personnel discovered that a Disneyland employee had fallen from a moving golf cart and struck her head,” spokesperson Jonathan McClintock told NBC News.

The employee, identified by Disneyland as Bonnye, was taken to a hospital where she died two days later.

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock issued a statement on Saturday, expressing their focus on supporting Bonnye’s family and colleagues during this difficult time. “We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her,” Potrock said.

Anaheim Police traffic detectives are investigating the accident.
