Nigerian music icon D’banj is marking his 20th anniversary in the music industry with the release of a brand-new single titled ‘Koko’.
Known as the Koko Master, D’banj has unveiled ‘Koko’ as a vibrant new anthem ahead of his forthcoming album. The single, which was written by the renowned rapper and label executive Olamide, was produced by the talented Eskeez.
For the past few months, D’banj has been celebrating two decades in the Nigerian music scene, having started his journey in 2004 with Mo’hit Records, a label he co-founded with Don Jazzy.
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, D’banj expressed his excitement for the new single and thanked Olamide for the gift of the song. This release follows previous singles ‘Since ’04’ and ‘Taya’, which feature collaborations with artists like Timaya, Zlatan, Bhadboi OML, Kayswitch, and Specikinging.
D’banj recently visited Don Jazzy to present a special gift pack, commemorating their shared history and his milestone 20th anniversary in the industry.
