Alcaraz and Nadal Forge Olympic Doubles Partnership

Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will team up for doubles at the upcoming Olympics, as confirmed by captains David Ferrer and Anabel Medina. Joining forces, the reigning Roland Garros champion and the esteemed Spanish player will showcase their prowess on the Olympic stage. Alongside Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Pablo Carreno-Busta, and Marcel Granollers, they form a formidable men’s team set to compete in Paris.

Ferrer elucidated that Alcaraz, Nadal, Davidovich Fokina, and Carreno-Busta are slated for singles matches, while Alcaraz and Nadal will unite for doubles. Granollers will collaborate with another player, the identity of whom is yet to be disclosed. Expressing optimism, Ferrer envisions multiple medals, highlighting the potential of the Nadal-Alcaraz partnership.

However, Paula Badosa will be absent from the women’s draw, opting out of the Olympic Games due to the absence of WTA ranking points. Consequently, Spain will be represented by Sara Sorribes and Cristina Bucsa in the women’s event in Paris.
