ID Cabasa Brings Fireboy DML, ODUMODUBLVCK, BOJ, and Joeboy Together for ‘Olufunmi Reimagined’

Veteran record producer ID Cabasa makes a powerful comeback with Olufunmi Reimagined, an electrifying new take on Styl-Plus’s 2006 hit Olufunmi. Featuring a stellar lineup of contemporary Afrobeats stars Fireboy DML, ODUMODUBLVCK, BOJ, and Joeboy, this remix bridges musical generations with flair.

Olufunmi Reimagined expertly fuses the nostalgic charm of the original with modern Afrobeats rhythms and innovative production techniques. ID Cabasa, a trailblazer in the Nigerian music scene, delivers a track that resonates with both long-time fans of Styl-Plus and today’s Afrobeats audience.

“My goal was to craft a song that transcends age,” ID Cabasa explains. “I wanted something that speaks to those who loved the original ‘Olufunmi’ while also energizing today’s Afrobeats enthusiasts. Working with such talented artists has been a dream, and I’m thrilled to share this reimagined piece of musical history with the world.”

Each artist adds their unique touch to the track: Fireboy DML contributes his smooth vocals and heartfelt lyrics, ODUMODUBLVCK brings his dynamic rap style, BOJ offers his distinctive voice and innovative approach, and Joeboy’s melodic hooks ensure the song stays with listeners long after it ends.

Olufunmi Reimagined celebrates the rich legacy of Nigerian music and its vibrant future. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by a visually stunning music video directed by the renowned Clarence Peters. The video captures the lively energy of Lagos and the chemistry between the featured artists, perfectly complementing the track’s blend of classic and contemporary sounds.
