The family of NBA star Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, has grown larger than a basketball team, with the birth of their fourth child. On May 26, the couple announced the arrival of their son, Caius Chai, born two weeks prior.
Posting a photo of the newborn’s hand and a glimpse of his head on Instagram, they wrote, “Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early appearance!! He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful! Caius Chai 5/11/24.”

Joining his older siblings, Riley, 11, Ryan, 8, and Canon, 5, Caius made his entrance into the world a day after Mother’s Day. The Golden State Warriors star commemorated the occasion with heartfelt photos of Ayesha and their older children on Instagram. “Happy Mother’s Day to the mother of my bundles of joy! You brighten their day every day, give them support, encouragement & confidence to be their best selves. Always thankful to be on this journey of parenthood with you. Keep that mother‘s touch. We love you!” he wrote.

Ayesha, known for her role alongside Lindsay Lohan in Netflix’s “Irish Wish,” had announced her pregnancy in March. In an essay for Sweet July Magazine, the 35-year-old actress and author of “The Seasoned Life” revealed her and Stephen’s decision to expand their family. “For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done,” she confessed. “We said, ‘Three, that’s it, we’re not doing this again.’ And then, last year, we looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again.”
She further explained the feeling of someone missing from their family, leading them on this journey. “I would load up the car and think, ‘Oh, I forgot something.’ But nobody was forgotten. It started to turn my brain a little bit. Maybe somebody was missing. So we set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family.”
In a later conversation with E! News at the Voices of Beauty Summit hosted by Landing International, she discussed the possibility of a fifth child. “Five sounds crazy! I grew up in a household of five and that felt like somebody always got left out. I think four is going to be perfect.” However, she advised Stephen to wait on any final decisions such as a vasectomy until he stops playing basketball.
