Following a commendable victory over Bournemouth, Arsenal’s initial move amidst ongoing speculations and reports has been affirmed.
Renowned sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has formally disclosed Arsenal’s inaugural transfer arrangement for the forthcoming window, confirming that both clubs have arrived at a verbal agreement.
Romano indicated that David Raya, hailed as the Golden Glove recipient for the 2023/24 season, is set to become the club’s first signing of the June 2024 transfer window.
He stated, “It is understood that Arsenal’s plan has been clear since last summer: David Raya will join Arsenal on a permanent deal from Brentford for £27m.”
Regarding Raya’s future at the club, Arteta addressed the matter in his post-match press conference, stating, “Discussions regarding Raya’s future will take place after the season. We will evaluate our position then. Undoubtedly, we are pleased with David and his contributions to the club and the team.
