Will Smith made a surprise appearance at J Balvin’s Coachella show, channeling his “Men in Black” character, J. Balvin welcomed Smith on stage for a performance reminiscent of Smith’s 1997 “Men in Black” music video, featuring rap and dance moves.
In exclusive footage of their rehearsal obtained by E! News, J Balvin praised Smith as a legend, describing the experience of working with him as a dream. “Men in Black,” starring Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, explored UFO conspiracy theories and spawned sequels in 2002, 2012, and 2019.
Despite the success, Smith revealed that he almost turned down the role due to concerns about making two alien movies in a row after “Independence Day.” However, Steven Spielberg, the film’s executive producer, persuaded him by sending a helicopter to fetch him from New York.
