In a surprising twist, BNXN and Ruger have announced their collaboration on a joint EP titled “RnB,” set to release on April 18th, 2024. Putting aside past conflicts, the artists are leveraging their combined energy to enhance their musical repertoire. Earlier this year, they teased fans with their track “Romeo Must Die,” hinting at their upcoming collaboration. BNXN, formerly known as Buju, teased the collaboration further by sharing a photo of himself in a captain’s uniform, prompting Ruger to join in and announce their joint EP.
Joint EPs have become a notable trend in the Nigerian music scene, and “RnB” follows suit with seven tracks, including “POE” and “Romeo Must Die.” The EP promises to deliver a unique blend of their individual styles and talents. Additionally, Ruger has been making headlines with his decision to depart from Jozing World.
The singer cited reasons such as the label’s lack of proactive promotion and limited efforts to broaden his artistic horizons under the leadership of D’Prince, the label head and brother of Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy.
How dare you put me, Sarz and Buju in the same session 🤦🏾♂️
