Jonathan Majors’ criminal case is still going to trial.
The actor, 34, appeared virtually in a New York City courtroom Wednesday morning, where Judge Michael Gaffey denied a request for the dismissal of the Manhattan District Attorney’s criminal case against Majors, PEOPLE confirms.
The decision means that Majors will face a trial, which follows his March 25 arrest after an alleged domestic dispute and, the following day, misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment.
The trial date has been set for Nov. 29.
Majors’ defense team also requested in court on Wednesday that certain evidence containing “sensitive information” remain sealed and not for public knowledge. Judge Gaffey told the defense they could file paperwork for this opposition by Nov. 6. #NaijaEntertainmentNews
