Renowned gospel vocalist Morenikeji Adeleke, known affectionately as Egbin Orun, has passed away, as confirmed by fellow gospel luminary Esther Igbekele. The news of Adeleke’s untimely demise surfaced through Igbekele’s heartfelt Instagram post on April 28, 2024.
Expressing profound sorrow and disbelief, Igbekele lamented Adeleke’s sudden departure, recounting their recent exchange and praising Adeleke’s inner and outer beauty along with her unwavering support for Igbekele’s ministry.
Adeleke, the visionary behind the Egbin Orun Prayer Mountain, had marked the fifth anniversary of her ministry just last May, where she announced plans for the inauguration of the Egbin Orun Plaza in Ogun State’s Sango Ota area.
At present, details regarding the cause and timing of Adeleke’s passing remain undisclosed, awaiting official communication from her family or ministry.
