Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new world record for the longest chess marathon. Originally aiming for 58 hours, Onakoya pushed himself through an exhausting 60-hour marathon held in Times Square, New York City.
This incredible accomplishment surpasses the previous record of 56 hours, 9 minutes, and 37 seconds set by Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad of Norway in November 2018.
