The Premier League Unveils Revised April Fixtures, Adding New Drama to the Title Race

The Premier League has unveiled a slate of rescheduled matches for April, providing Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City with added clarity in their intense three-way title battle.

Due to commitments in domestic cups and Europe, several fixtures have been shuffled in the latter part of the season, alongside the release of TV schedules for late April.

Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea, initially set for the previous weekend but delayed due to Chelsea’s FA Cup involvement, has been moved to Tuesday, April 23, with an 8 pm kick-off, airing live on TNT Sports. This pivotal match precedes Arsenal’s showdown with Tottenham on April 28, just five days later, and a visit to Wolves three days prior, now rescheduled for a 7:30 pm kick-off to accommodate TV broadcasts.

Should Arsenal advance to the Champions League semi-finals, their match against Spurs on April 28 will be shifted to a 12:30 pm slot on April 27. Arsenal faces a busy April with eight games, including a significant clash with Manchester City on March 31, followed by encounters with Luton and Brighton before their Champions League quarter-final double-header against Bayern Munich.

Liverpool faces a challenging end to April, with Jurgen Klopp’s side scheduled for three potentially tough away matches in just six days. Their rescheduled Merseyside derby against Everton is now slated for April 24, followed by matches against Fulham and West Ham.

Manchester City’s fixture against Brighton on April 25 has been set for an 8 pm kick-off on Sky Sports, with a possible rescheduling if City progresses to the Champions League semi-finals. Their subsequent trip to Nottingham Forest on April 28 may also be adjusted depending on their European commitments.

April shapes up to be demanding for Manchester City, who also have an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley on April 20.
