Sony’s latest PS5 update introduces enhancements to the DualSense controllers’ audio and microphone capabilities, as well as new features for screen sharing. Additionally, users now have the option to adjust the brightness of the PS5’s power indicator.
With this update, Sony aims to enhance the audio experience on DualSense controllers by boosting the volume of in-game sounds and voice chat. This improvement is complemented by upgraded microphones equipped with a new machine learning algorithm that effectively suppresses background noise such as button presses.
Moreover, the Screen Share feature receives an upgrade with the addition of pointers and emoji reactions. Users can now utilize pointers to draw instructional lines on shared screens, facilitating better communication during gameplay or other activities. Additionally, viewers can express their reactions using emojis, adding a layer of interactivity to shared content. Sony ensures users can disable these features if they find them distracting. Furthermore, a forthcoming update for the PlayStation mobile app will extend these screen sharing capabilities to iOS and Android users.

Although complete disabling of the power indicator is not possible, users can select their preferred brightness level to suit their preferences.
