In a snippet shared on J. Cole’s Instagram Stories, he delivers poignant lyrics: “Going to sleep at night, praying to God release the stress/Now I’m on G4 jets across the seas to decompress/My recent texts, how much you think? Hmm, decent guess!/They go, ‘J. Cole, who you gon’ kill on the feature next?‘”
The new vlog episode emerges less than a month after its predecessor, offering similar content along with another sneak peek of a song. All these releases originated from an Instagram account with the handle @mightdeletelater26, purportedly J. Cole’s ‘burner’ account.
The 39-year-old rapper’s last project was 2021’s “The Off-Season.” In 2023, he confirmed his highly anticipated next album titled “The Fall Off,” although a release date remains unspecified.

J. Cole’s announcement about “The Fall Off” came in 2020, outlining his release plans for the “The Fall Off Era,” which included “The Off-Season,” a potential project called “It’s a Boy,” and, ultimately, “The Fall Off.” His manager, Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad, recently fueled anticipation for the album, expressing a desire to see J. Cole perform it live in its entirety.
According to J. Cole, there are currently six different versions of “The Fall Off,” with its release expected sometime this year.
