The Nigerian-British rapper recently announced the premiere date of his movie, “Tribal Mark,” scheduled for January 26 at Everyman Cinema.
The much-anticipated single, titled ‘JANGROVA,’ will feature the collaboration of British rapper and actor Idris Elba alongside Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck.
‘Tribal Mark’ unfolds the poignant journey of a Nigerian immigrant adapting to life in a foreign land, weaving in a captivating narrative of an undercover Black Secret Service. The film’s cast boasts a diverse ensemble of emerging Black actors, with Jude Carmichael taking on the pivotal role of the protagonist, Young Mark.
Idris Elba, known for his versatile acting skills, has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community causes. He spearheaded a protest advocating for an immediate ban on the sale of “zombie” knives and machetes to curb the rising number of young lives lost. The protest involved a powerful visual representation, with clothes laid out to symbolize those affected by knife violence on UK streets.
