Diddy and Cassie Settle Out of Court Amidst Rape and Assault Allegations

Diddy and Former Girlfriend Cassie Resolve Rape and Assault Allegations through Private Settlement

American rapper P Diddy has reached a resolution with his ex-girlfriend Cassie regarding the rape and assault accusations filed against him on Friday, November 17, 2023. In a swift and amicable agreement, less than 24 hours after the bombshell $30 million lawsuit was initiated, the two parties settled out of court.

Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, disclosed the resolution in a statement provided to the New York Times on Friday evening. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, similarly issued a statement to the news outlet, expressing that they chose to resolve the matter amicably and extending well wishes to Cassie and her family.

Diddy’s statement read, “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

In the publicized case filed the day before, Cassie detailed allegations of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse throughout their decade-long on-and-off relationship. She claimed instances where she was coerced into participating in sexual encounters with male prostitutes while Diddy watched, masturbated, and recorded videos, which he referred to as “freak-offs.” Cassie also asserted that whenever she attempted to end the relationship, Diddy would locate her and issue threats. According to her suit, their relationship concluded in 2018, with an alleged break-in and rape by Diddy.

Although Diddy’s attorney vehemently denied all the claims, dismissing them as an attempt to secure money, the rapper has chosen to fulfill Cassie’s $30 million damages demand through this private settlement.
