Tacha’s Perspective on the Viral iPhone Request Video

Reality TV personality Natasha Akide, known as Tacha, has addressed the criticism faced by the parents of a teenager who scolded their child for requesting an iPhone 8. Some Nigerians have expressed concern about the parents’ choice of harsh words in the video.

Taking to her X Handle, Tacha expressed her opinion that those who find fault with the parents’ words might have issues themselves. She also shared a voice note in which she suggested that the young girl in question could be a challenging child for her parents, which might explain their reluctance to fulfill her iPhone request. Tacha pointed out that the same parents, who are facing criticism online, had provided the girl with a phone that she used to record their conversation and post it online. Tacha questioned why the teenager had taken the step of recording and sharing her parents’ interaction on social media.
