The House of Representatives has summoned embattled Nigerian artiste, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley to appear before it.
This call is in a bid to address concerns pertaining to the musical rights of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The House, through its Committee on Justice, Youth, and Legislative Compliance, also invited Jiggy Adeoye, Mohbad’s manager.
Just so you know, The House’s decision to intervene in the matter was prompted by a motion sponsored by Babajimi Benson, the lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
The honorable urged for a review of the laws pertaining to the entertainment industry and copyright, while expressing concerns about the contracts and agreements that entertainers are compelled to sign.
