Kizz Daniel Sets the Record Straight on Alleged Ivory Coast Arrest

Multiple Award Winning Nigerian Artiste Kizz Daniel recently used his social media platform to provide clarity on a swirling controversy regarding his rumored detention in Ivory Coast by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

In an open and honest statement, he addressed the situation that had caused quite a stir online. Kizz Daniel shared his perspective, disclosing that CAF was not communicating with him directly but through an intermediary.

The core issue stemmed from a clause in his contract, which stated, “no payment, no performance.” Despite numerous appeals and various explanations tied to delays in bank transfers, Kizz Daniel took a leap of faith, traveling to Abidjan with the promise of payment upon his arrival. Unfortunately, not only did the promised payment not materialize, but the full amount remained unpaid.

Determined to support CAF, Kizz Daniel reportedly chose to perform at the event without prior payment. Regrettably, his performance slot lasted only three minutes. To compound matters, his team encountered an unfortunate incident backstage. It was at this juncture that he made the decision to depart.

Crucially, Kizz Daniel stressed, “I have not been arrested or detained by CAF in any way.” This statement effectively dispelled the rumors of his arrest, providing clarity on his situation.
