Mathew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit 90’s sitcom, Friends, has died at the age of fifty-four.
According to TMZ, the American actor was found dead at a Los Angeles-area home on Saturday, October 26.
An investigation into the cause of death has commenced, but reports indicate he may have suffered a cardiac arrest while in a jacuzzi at a residence in Los Angeles.
TMZ was also told that there was no foul play involved, and their sources said first responders were called to the residence for cardiac arrest.
In recent years, Matthew Perry had been open about his struggles with substance abuse and mental health. He checked into rehab for the first time in 1997, and he has since been in and out of treatment several times.
In 2021, he even released a memoir called Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, in which he chronicled his struggles with addiction.
